Plagx Research Kit
Keep a source log, get a clean reference list
A free, open-source notebook for students and researchers. Log each source as you read it, then turn the log into an APA 7 or MLA 9 reference list, catch duplicate sources and missing details, and download ready-made research templates.
Runs in your browser with Google Colab: click Runtime → Run all. No installation. MIT licence. All example sources are fictional.
What it does
- Source log to citations: APA 7 and MLA 9 reference lists, plus parenthetical and narrative in-text citations with page numbers.
- Log checks: finds duplicate sources (same DOI, or same title and first author) and missing details such as the year.
- Draft check: lists citations in your draft that are missing from your log, and sources you logged but never cited.
- Export: your references as CSL-JSON and BibTeX, for Zotero, Mendeley or LaTeX.
